AR hosts Ayurveda, Siddha health camp

Shillong, Aug 12: The Assam Rifles organised a two-day medical consultation camp at its Laitkor garrison from August 11 to 12, offering holistic healthcare services to personnel, veterans and their families. The camp featured noted Ayurveda and Siddha medicine practitioner Dr K Vasu, who provided personalised consultations, dietary advice and treatment plans rooted in traditional Indian medical systems.

Over 200 people attended the sessions and received guidance on preventive healthcare, lifestyle management and natural remedies, along with yoga and meditation tips.

Participants praised the initiative for its individual attention and focus on long-term wellness, while the force said it reflected its commitment to providing diverse healthcare options beyond conventional medicine.
