Bike lifters from Khasi Hills and Garo Hills nabbed

Tura, Feb 6: The police net to nab motorcycle thieves is widening by the day, ever since the operation was launched last month, with more arrests and recovery of vehicles taking place.

On Wednesday night, the operation netted two bike lifters hailing from different corners of the state. West Garo Hills police teams arrested a bike lifter from West Khasi Hills and another from East Garo Hills and from their possession recovered three stolen motorcycles.

So far, the ongoing operation has led to the recovery of 26 stolen motorcycles from various locations across the region.
