Body of murdered victim found in Tikrikilla

Tura, Oct 15: Police in Tikrikilla have retrieved the body of a man murdered and abandoned outside a village in West Garo Hills district.

Villagers alerted police on Tuesday about the discovery of a body, suspected to have been murdered, at Chigijanggre village. The victim was identified as 55 year old Tajeng R Marak of Amonggre village.

From the murder site police recovered a scooty AS18 K 4710, a machete and a wooden log that are suspected to have been used in committing the crime.
