Border dispute: WJ Hills panel to submit report to Govt soon: Dhar

Shillong, Feb 25: The regional committee for West Jaintia Hills on inter-state border dispute with Assam will submit its report to the state government soon, said deputy chief minister Sniawbhalang Dhar on Tuesday.

The deputy chief minister, who hails from Jaintia Hills, said he had chaired the last meeting of the regional committee on December 19 last year.

“During the meeting, we instructed the officers to complete their homework and submit a report to the committee,” he said.

The regional committees are in the process of submitting their reports to the state government ahead of the chief minister level meeting to resolve the long-pending issue, he said.
