Tura, Sept 22: A BSF jawan has drowned in Bandari waterfalls near Durabanda village in South Garo Hills, on Sunday morning.

The victim, identified as Sub Inspector JE (electrical) Suman Kumar Sona had gone with a BSF colleague from the SHQ Dobasipara headquarters in Tura to the Bandari waterfalls for a picnic on Sunday morning.

Durananda village and Bandari falls is barely 25 kms from Dobasipara camp, but falls under South Garo Hills district’s Sangknigre police station jurisdiction.
