BSF Meghalaya Foils Sugar Smuggling attempt; Apprehends one Indian National on International Border

Shillong Aug 21: In a significant operation on 20th August 2024, alert troops of BSF Meghalaya successfully foiled a smuggling attempt by apprehending one Indian national along with Sugar Meant for smuggling to Bangladesh from the International Border of East Khasi Hills district, Meghalaya.

During the operation, an Indian National was apprehended with sugar bags loaded in a Mahindra pickup, intended for smuggling into Bangladesh.

The apprehended individual and the seized sugar have been handed over to Pynursla Police Station, East Khasi Hills, for further legal proceedings.
