Christmas canter attracts budding singers in the city streets

Shillong, December 20: A Christmas canter adorned and illuminated with Christmas decorations, festive characters and lights will be making rounds in the city as part of the JINGLE ALL THE WAY Christmas Carol Singing Competition organised by Big FM and JBL.

Parked at important locations in the city, the Christmas canter’s Karaoke Competition will give a place for people to unlock their hidden talent. Performers selected at Laitumkhrah, Golf Links and Police Bazaar will be given a ‘Ticket To The Finale’ where they will get a chance to perform at the Christmas Carol Singing Competition which will be held on December 20 and 21 at Anton Hall, Laitumkhrah. 

The winners of the Karaoke Competition at the finale will be awarded cash prizes. 

The Christmas Canter will be parked at Khyndai Lad, Police Bazaar every evening from 4-8pm and everyone is invited to be part of the Karaoke Competition and to imbibe the festive spirit, cheer and music. JINGLE ALL THE WAY, Big FM and JBL’s Christmas Carol Singing Competition is also supported by IOCL and BIS Hallmark marking a significant investment by the corporate sector in Shillong’s increasing reputation as a tourist hotspot and its potential for artistic excellence and cultural pluralism
