Shillong, June 8: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has assured to look into the matter related to an incident of arson in Shillong even as he indicated prima facie it could be an “isolated incident”.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, he said he was yet to get the detailed report on the incident since he was away.
“Yesterday, I was at a launch programme and I went to Wahiajer,” he said.
Stating that the report could have already reached his residence, he said he would be in a position to make any comment only after holding a review of the incident.
Based on preliminary information, Sangma said the incident does not appear to indicate a larger law and order problem.
“But it does not look like a major law and order issue as such. It could be isolated incidents, but I will definitely look into it,” he added.
