Court extends judicial custody of Sonam, Raj

Shillong, July 20: Judicial custody of Sonam Raghuvanshi and her accomplice Raj Singh Kushwaha, accused in the murder of Sonam’s husband Raja Raghuvanshi in Sohra in May this year, has been extended by another 14 days.

The two accused were produced in the court of District and Sessions Judge here.

Earlier, the court issued a similar order remanding three other accused — Akash Rajput, Anand Kurmi and Vishal Chauhan – who were allegedly part of the same gang hired by Sonam to carry out the murder.

The hearing was conducted via video conference.
