British rock legends to play three-city Bandland On Tour run in Shillong, Mumbai and Bengaluru; tickets on sale from December 13 on BookMyShow
Shillong, Dec 11: Legendary British rock band Def Leppard will kick off their first full-scale headlining tour of India in Shillong next year, with a concert scheduled at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Polo Grounds) on March 25, 2026. The three-city tour, organised by BookMyShow Live, will then move to Mumbai on March 27 and Bengaluru on March 29.
BookMyShow Live, the live entertainment division of ticketing platform BookMyShow, announced on Thursday that general ticket sales for the tour will open at 12 pm (noon) IST on Saturday, December 13, 2025, exclusively on its platform.

In Shillong, the concert is being supported by Meghalaya Tourism, underscoring the state’s push to position the hill city—long regarded as a rock music hub in the Northeast—as a key stop on global tour circuits. The Circus will be the event partner for the show.
“We’re excited to announce our India tour dates in 2026. Playing for our fans in India is thrilling for us. We can’t wait to see you soon,” lead vocalist Joe Elliott said in a statement. Guitarist Phil Collen added that the band was “delighted to finally make it to India next year”, promising “an incredible night for all the fans”.
Calling the tour a “significant moment for rock culture in India”, Naman Pugalia, Chief Business Officer – Live Events, BookMyShow, said Def Leppard’s first full-scale headlining run in the country was a “shared celebration of music history, fan devotion and the power of live experiences”, adding that legendary global acts were “returning to our stages” as Indian audiences for rock music grow.
The India dates are part of BookMyShow Live’s Bandland On Tour series, an extension of its rock and alternative music IP, Bandland, as it expands to multiple cities.
With more than 110 million albums sold worldwide and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Def Leppard are regarded as one of the most influential arena rock bands. Their catalogue includes multi-platinum albums such as Pyromania and Hysteria and hits like ‘Rock of Ages’, ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me’, ‘Animal’ and ‘Foolin’. In recent years, the band has continued extensive global touring, including a major 2023 run that featured sold-out arena and stadium shows.
