Shillong, Feb 12: The service of Director General of Police (DGP) Idashisha Nongrang has been extended by another six months.
With the grant of extension by the Centre, Nongrang will to continue serve as Meghalaya DGP for an additional six months after her original service term ends on May 19, 2026.
The proposal forwarded by the Ministry of Home Affairs was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, on February 11.
