Dhar makes donation to Mynkrem Sports Club, Presbyterian Church Moorathud

Shillong, Feb 9: Deputy Chief Minister and Nartiang legislator Sniawbhalang Dhar has donated Rs 7 lakh to the Mynkrem Sports Club and Rs 8 lakh to the Presbyterian Church Moorathud.  

The donation to the sports club seeks to improve the playing field, install goalposts, and create a conducive environment for sports activities and tournaments.

Mynkrem Sports Club members expressed gratitude for Dhar’s support, saying, “This initiative comes at the right time, reflecting his commitment to promoting sports and youth development in the area.”

The club representatives also appreciated Dhar’s proactive approach, stating, “His efforts demonstrate his dedication to nurturing young talent and encouraging sports participation in the community.”

Meanwhile, Dhar emphasized his commitment to supporting institutions working towards the betterment of society during the handover ceremony to the church.

The contribution aims to bolster the church’s efforts in promoting social welfare and community engagement activities.

 “This donation is a testament to my dedication to fostering unity, love, and harmony among the people,” he said.

Church representatives expressed gratitude for the timely and much-needed support. “We appreciate MLA Dhar’s generosity and commitment to our community’s welfare,” they said.

The funds are expected to aid various community development projects, benefiting both the congregation and the broader community.
