Draft Electoral Roll ready for 3 South Garo Hills constituencies

Baghmara, Nov 13: The Electoral Registration Officer under Rongara Siju, Chokpot and Baghmara in an official communique informed the general public that the Draft Electoral Roll has been prepared in accordance with the Registration of Electors 1960 with the qualifying date for the preparation of the Electoral roll in fixed for Jan 1, 2025.

If there is any claim for the inclusion of particulars in any entry, it should be lodged on or before November 28, 2024 in form no 6, 7 or 8. 

Further the order states that any eligible citizen under South Garo Hills district who will turn 18 on any of the subsequent qualifying date such as April 1, July 1 or October 1, 2025 may also file a claim for inclusion of his or her name in the roll in form 6 in advance starting from the date of notice and the same shall be considered and decided in the respective quarter of the year with reference to the respective qualifying date.
