Shillong, Oct 15: The Education department will prepare an action plan for implementing recommendations of the Meghalaya State Education Commission (MSEC) whose report was placed in the state cabinet on Wednesday.
“Education department has been asked to go through each of the recommendation and come up with actionable (plans) and the way forward,” Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said after chairing a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

The MSEC report has outlined recommendations on key areas such as school consolidation, higher education reform, teacher training, student performance, and structural transformation across the sector.
MSEC was constituted to recommend measures to reform the state’s education system aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
