Tura, May 24: The mortal remains of Dubai-based music teacher Kresitha Gabil Momin, who passed away recently, were received by her family members at LGBI Airport in Guwahati on Sunday.
Hailing from Rongjeng in East Garo Hills district, 41-year-old Kresitha was working as a violin teacher at Arab Unity School LLC in Dubai.

Her last rites will take place at Rongjeng on Monday.
After suffering a cardiac arrest on May 15, she battled for life in the hospital in Dubai for nearly a week. She passed away on May 21.
Earlier, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma intervened at higher level to arrange for transporting her mortal remains as her family members were not in a position to travel to Dubai.

Rongjeng MLA Jim Sangma expressed his deep gratitude to the Chief Minister, the Chief Secretary, and the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) staff for their constant communication with the family and ensuring that her mortal remains were brought back to her native place.
He also extended his appreciation to the Indian Embassy in Dubai for providing the necessary assistance, as well as to Issac Sadap, a resident of Meghalaya working in Dubai, who was authorised by the family to take charge of the mortal remains.
