Shillong, Feb 24: Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui informed the Assembly on Tuesday that the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides functions under the Education department and that service rules for its employees have been drafted.
Replying to a question from UDP legislator Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar, Rymbui said the draft is “in process for vetting and approval.”
He added that students enrolled in the movement gain exposure at district, state, regional, national and international levels, learning topics such as mapping, pioneering and campcraft that are not taught in school.
