Shillong, June 23: The Vehicle Scrappage Policy 2025 is in the process of finalisation and the government aims to implement it before the year-end, Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Transport Sniawbhalang Dhar said on Tuesday.
The details of the policy, including the number of vehicles to be scrapped this year, will be announced once the framework is in place, he said.
Admitting that the process is taking time, expressed confidence about rolling it out in 2026.
“Accoding to me, by this year we should be able to implement it,” he said.
