Guwahati: Army outreach motivates AROHAN scheme students toward defence careers

Operation Sindoor, motivational talk highlight Indian Army’s strength and values

Guwahati, Sept 17 : The Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Narangi, under the aegis of ZRO Shillong, conducted an outreach programme at Brahmaputra Hall in Narangi Cantonment to inspire students enrolled under the Assam government’s AROHAN scheme to consider careers in the Armed Forces.

A total of 367 students from the districts of Golaghat, Darrang, and Hailakandi participated in the event, which featured a motivational lecture and a detailed presentation on Operation Sindoor.

Operation Sindoor was a key highlight, aimed at familiarising students with the operational strength and strategic capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces. The session was designed to foster patriotism and deepen understanding of military resilience.

The motivational lecture offered insights into Army life, underscoring career opportunities and the values of discipline, leadership, and national service.

The interactive format enabled students to engage directly with the ARO Narangi team, asking questions about recruitment procedures, eligibility criteria, and the lifestyle associated with defence services.

The event was smoothly conducted by the Director and team from ARO Narangi, reinforcing the Army’s commitment to youth engagement and fostering national spirit among future generations.
