The high-level meeting, held at Gadkari’s official residence, focused on fast-tracking ongoing infrastructure projects and boosting road connectivity across the state. Both leaders engaged in a detailed discussion on multiple under-construction NH projects and explored new proposals to enhance Assam’s surface transport network.

A major highlight of the conversation was the Jorhat-Majuli bridge over the Brahmaputra River, a much-anticipated project aimed at connecting the river island of Majuli to the mainland. Sarma expressed gratitude to Gadkari for moving the project forward and floating the tender.
