Himanta ministry reshuffle scheduled for Dec 7

Guwahati, Dec 4: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced plans for a minor reshuffle of his ministry, set to take place at noon on December 7.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Sarma stated that the reshuffle’s details will be finalized after discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president J.P. Nadda during his visit to Maharashtra on Thursday.

“During my visit to Maharashtra tomorrow, I will discuss with Shah and Nadda and finalize the list. I will let you know tomorrow or the day after tomorrow,” Sarma told reporters.

The Chief Minister described the reshuffle as “minor,” with one to three ministers potentially being added or dropped.

“It is yet to be finalized,” he added, indicating the decision-making process is still underway.

Final List: Expected to be released following Sarma’s discussions with senior BJP leaders on December 5 or 6.
