ISRO’s Chandrayaan Mission in 3D for Tura students

Tura, Aug 5: More than 130 students got a rare opportunity to watch the video of ISRO’s Chandrayaan Mission in 3D, on Monday.

The Nivedita Girls’ Upper Primary and Secondary School situated near Babupara in Tura organised the 3D show for student and where 80 of its students were in attendance.

Students and teachers from Denovo School, Bengali Boys LP school, Bengali Girl LP School, Dobasipara LP school and Sunbeam School also attended the 3D show.

The video on Chandrayaan Mission lasted approximately of 30 minutes while other educational videos were also shown to the students.

Speaking to TME, an enthusiastic students said, “I have heard about the 3D movies but never got the opportunity to see it. Today, I am happy to get the chance to not only watch the 3D movie but also wear the 3D glasses. Watching the dinosaurs in 3D was fun.”

Tura’s Sunbeam School teacher, Pankaj Damai, told TME, “I am very happy that our school students have been invited to watch the 3D movie about Chandrayaan. It can be a new way of teaching students about the subject. I have told my students that after watching the video, I will be asking questions.”

Principal of Nivedita Senior Secondary School, Pallavi Saha, said, “The programme today was a successful one as students could understand and differentiate between a regular movie and a 3D movie. The programme was free of cost for the students and the school has borne the charges for conducting this show.”
