Shillong, April 12: The Jaintia National Council (JNC) Ladrymbai Circle has called for steps to check “reckless parking” along Rymbai Road causing “severe traffic congestion”.
Improper and reckless roadside parking during peak hours is the primary cause of traffic jams on the road, JNC president Jopsing Latam said on Saturday.
He said the problem further aggravates with the absence of traffic police personnel, causing disorder and delay in vehicular movement.
In its appeal to Ladrymbai Police Outpost for immediate action, the JNC has requested for deployment of at least two traffic police personnel on the road.
