Karnataka assembly delegation in Meghalaya

Shillong, Sept 4: A high-level delegation from the Karnataka Legislative Assembly’s Committee on Public Undertakings on Thursday visited the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly and met Speaker Thomas A Sangma.

The delegation, led by Chairman Basavaraj Neelappa Shivannanavar, aimed to foster dialogue and strengthen institutional cooperation between the two legislatures.

Araga Jnanendra, M Y Patil, Allamaprabhu Patil (MLAs), Umashree and Bharathi Shetti (MLCs) were also part of the Karnataka delegation.

The meeting provided a platform for exchanging insights on governance practices and public undertakings, promoting cooperative federalism and legislative collaboration. The interaction aimed to strengthen ties between the two legislatures and share best practices.

Also present were deputy speaker Timothy D Shira, secretary Malthus S Sangma and other senior officials.
