Expressing confidence that the NPP will come back to power in KHADC, Lakadong said, “We have full faith that we will form the new EC.”

Claiming that the current EC had passed a record number of Bills, he also thanked the governor for granting is assent to several pending Bills.”

Unlike JHADC and GHADC, the EM said, salaries of KHADC were never pending.

“All our sitting MDCs are doing their part… They were there for the people so I have full faith that all our candidates will win,” he added.

Highlighting other issues, Lakadong said he would ensure that Khasi language be made compulsory in the primary education.
