Guwahati, June 8: Manas National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has set a new tourism revenue record, earning ₹1.58 crore in just the first eight months of the 2024–25 fiscal year.

According to Ranger Barin Boro, the park welcomed 64,463 tourists during this period — 60,744 domestic and 3,719 international visitors. This marks a sharp rise from last year when the park earned ₹1.30 crore over the full tourism year.
“Tourist numbers are up, and so is wildlife visibility. Many visitors have seen elephants, tigers, and a variety of other animals,” said Boro. “Sightings of different tiger species and endangered birds have also increased.”

Manas offers a rich blend of experiences: thrilling jeep and elephant safaris, birdwatching, nature photography, and cultural tours of nearby Bodo villages. Its lush biodiversity and scenic landscapes continue to draw nature lovers from around the world.
