Shillong, Oct 9: A total of 94 participants, aged between 4 and 84 years, from Mawdiangdiang and neighboring areas availed eye care services provided during a free camp organised at the Mawdiangdiang Dorbar Office on October 8.
The camp was organised by the North-East Centre for Community Impact and Engagement (NECCIE) at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong, in collaboration with Mission Nethralaya, successfully organised a free Eye Camp.
The beneficiaries included students from Quiditto Lower Primary School, who availed the services provided at the camp.

The eye camp offered comprehensive eye care services, including eye examinations, vision testing, and distribution of free medication and spectacles.
Optometrists from Mission Nethralaya were present on-site to assess vision health, identify eye conditions, and recommend follow-up care where necessary.
The event was made possible through the active support and collaboration of the Mawdiangdiang Dorbar, which ensured smooth coordination and enthusiastic community participation.
The eye camp is part of NECCIE’s broader mission to foster inclusive and sustainable community development across Meghalaya and the North East through impactful engagement and partnership.
