MBOSE announces SSLC 2026-27 Exam dates — Exams to start December 4

Tura, Sept 14: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has released the schedule for the Class 10 SSLC Examination 2026-27, with exams set to run from December 4 to December 16.

The exam programme was issued by T.R. Laloo, Director of Accreditation and Controller of Examinations, MBOSE, from the Board’s Tura headquarters.

All exams will be held in the same time slot — from 10 am to 1 pm.

According to the schedule, students will start with English on December 4, followed by Science on December 7.

Indian Languages and Additional English will be held on December 9. Students can choose from Garo, Khasi, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Nepali, Urdu and Mizo.

Health and Physical Education, Computer Science and Vocational Subjects are scheduled for December 11.

This will be followed by Social Science on December 14, and finally Mathematics and Special Mathematics on December 16.

For students taking vocational subjects, the Board has listed several options: Beauty and Wellness, Tourism, Health Care, Electronics, Agriculture, ITES, Apparels, Plumbing, Food Processing, Telecom, Banking and Automobile Repair. These subjects can be taken instead of Computer Science or Health and Physical Education.

MBOSE has also laid out the exact timing students need to follow on exam days. Examination halls will open at 9:30 am, with question papers handed out at 9:45 am and answer scripts at 9:50 am. Students will begin writing their exams at 10 am sharp.

For vocational subjects, however, the theory exam will run for a shorter duration — just one hour, from 10 am to 11 am.

The Board added that the schedule could change if unexpected situations arise, or if the state or central government makes important announcements that clash with the exam dates.
