New Delhi, Sep 15 : Customs officials have seized 5.5 kg of suspected ganja, valued at approximately Rs 1.93 crore, from a Myanmar national at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here, an official statement said.
The passenger, coming from Bangkok, arrived at Terminal-3 on September 11 and was intercepted by Customs officials based on profiling, the statement said.
She was diverted to the Green Channel for examination, following which five polythene pouches containing suspected ganja were recovered from her trolley bag, the statement said.
The substance weighed 5.5 kg and was valued at approximately Rs 1.93 crore, it said.
The Myanmar national was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the suspected contraband was seized. (PTI)
