“The construction is moving smoothly in accordance with established timelines,” the Speaker said this after conducting an inspection of the under-construction Assembly as the landmark project nears completion.

He led a delegation of senior officials and technical experts to assess the quality and pace of work on the site.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress of work, Sangma said the inspection focused on several critical components, including the main hall’s structural work and integration of essential utilities.

The delegation included Malthus S Sangma, Secretary; Dr Andrew Simons, Advisor (Legislation); Raja Kharpuri, Deputy Secretary; besides other senior officers and engineers from the Public Works Department (PWD).

The project’s chief architects and contractors also joined to discuss technical details and address potential bottlenecks.

Sangma reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the project’s timely delivery, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between various line departments.
