No difference in NPP family, says Dhar

Shillong, Oct 10: The ruling National People’s Party (NPP) has denied any differences within the “NPP family” and cited the past seven-and-a-half years in governance as the proof of it.

Responding to queries on “internal differences” while speaking to reporters on Friday, Deputy Chief Minister and NPP leader Sniawbhalang Dhar on Friday said, “In the NPP family, there are no differences at all. You have witnessed it during the past seven-and-a-half years.”

“We are working together as a team with all 33 MLAs,” he told reporters.

Comparing the current NPP-led MDA with that of Congress-led governments in the past, he said, “If you remember during the Congress regime, every six months there was a leadership issue.”

He said NPP has never faced such situation during its rule so far.

“You know very well this is the most stable government since the inception of the state of Meghalaya,” he added.
