NPP candidate kicks off campaign for Siju GHADC seat

Williamnagar, Feb 25: NPP MDC candidate Calis G. Momin and son of the late former Deputy Chief Minister Lotsing A. Sangma, a prominent Garo leader on Wednesday formally launched his campaign for the 01-Siju GHADC Constituency with an inaugural prayer service held at his residence in Rongara Gulpani, South Garo Hills.

The programme marked the official start of his election campaign and was attended by church leaders, local elders, supporters and well-wishers. The prayer service symbolised a spiritual beginning to the campaign and a call for unity and support ahead of the upcoming elections.

Following the service, Momin interacted with supporters and outlined his focus on grassroots development, community welfare and stronger representation for the people of the Rongara–Siju area. Party leaders and workers were also present, indicating organisational support as the campaign gathers momentum.

Momin, who is contesting on a National People’s Party (NPP) ticket, is expected to intensify his outreach across villages under the 01-Siju GHADC Constituency in the coming days.
