Shillong, Dec 17: The National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) of the Nartiang constituency has launched its young women’s wing, aiming to strengthen the party and empower women in politics.
The wing will be led by Amecia Pariat as chairperson, Syllimon Challam as vice chairperson, Pretty Phawa as secretary, and Sharmina Suting as assistant secretary.
Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar, an NPP leader, inaugurated the wing, emphasizing the importance of women’s participation in politics. “We want to ensure that women use this platform to work for the upliftment of the society,” he said, highlighting the party’s objective to empower women in active politics.
