One dead in Boko road mishap

Boko, Dec 30: A woman died on the spot while another was critically injured when the two-wheeler they were travelling in collided with a bus in Kamrup district of Assam on Monday.

According to eyewitnesses, the overspeeding passenger bus (AS 18C 9913), coming from Guwahati towards Goalpara, hit the stationary scooty (AS 25M 7594) on the NH 17 stretch at Agchiya village under Boko Police Station.

The pillion rider, Krishna Rabha, died on the spot while the rider Sunita Rabha was admitted to GMCH.

According to police, both women are from Khatolpara village under Boko Police Station. Police also seized the bus and brought it to the Boko Police Station.
