Mumbai, Sep 4: Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been named an ambassador for the 2026 LVMH Prize final and will present the prestigious Karl Lagerfeld Prize at the ceremony in Paris, France.
The actor, who is a Dior ambassador, will join fellow Dior ambassador Jennifer Lawrence and Thai actor Urassaya “Yaya” Sperbund, a face of Louis Vuitton, as presenters at the ceremony to be held at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, a press release said.
The official Instagram page of the LVMH Prize announced Chopra Jonas as one of the ambassadors for the event.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the remarkable actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas as one of the ambassadors for this year’s LVMH Prize final,” the post read.
Chopra Jonas will present the Karl Lagerfeld Prize, which carries a grant of EUR 200,000 (one euro = Rs 109.87) and a year-long mentorship programme covering areas such as sustainability, communication, marketing, manufacturing and financial management.
Lawrence will present the EUR 400,000 Grand Prize, while Sperbund will hand over the Savoir-Faire Prize.
The LVMH Prize celebrates emerging fashion talent, with nine designers competing for three awards at this year’s ceremony.
The finalists are Julie Kegels, Petra Fagerstrom, De Pino, Ponte, The Vxlley, Institution, Lii, Colleen Allen and Yoshita 1967.
The winner will be selected by a jury comprising prominent names from the fashion industry, including Celine’s Michael Rider, Loewe’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, Pucci’s Camille Miceli, and Louis Vuitton and LVMH Fashion Group chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari. (PTI)
