Prohibit entry of traders inside Govt offices: ACHIK urges South Garo Hills DC

Shillong, Oct 31: The Achik Conscious Holistically Integrated Krima (ACHIK) has demanded for restriction on “unauthorised trading” inside the office premises South Garo Hills district.

“Yesterday, I witnessed a cloth seller entering your office premises and selling clothing items to employees during working hours…instead of working, some employees were busy buying and browsing clothes..,” said Wilban N Sangma, general secretary of ACHIK South Garo Hills in a letter to the deputy commissioner.

The ACHIK unit urged the DC to issue an order to strictly prohibit entry of all such traders inside any government office in the district.

“This will help maintain a professional environment and ensure employees remain focussed in their official work,” it added.
