Shillong, July 17: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Friday said the state government will bring a resolution on uranium mining during the autumn session of the assembly slated for August this year.
He was replying to a reporter’s query on the decision to bring the resolution to clearly establish the state government’s stand on the issue.
The Assembly session will be held before August 27 as there cannot be more that six-month gap between two sessions.
“The six months period gets over on August 27. So, during the upcoming autumn session of the Assembly, that is when the resolution will come up,” he said.
