Rs 158 cr sanctioned for mini secretariat at Tura

Shillong, May 21: The state government has sanctioned Rs 157.9 crore for construction of a mini secretariat at Dakopgre in Tura, official sources said.

The mini secretariat has been targeted for completion in two years, sources said.

Meanwhile, the government has also planned to set up mini secretariats in all district headquarters to improve the service delivery mechanism by bringing all important departments under one roof.   

The idea is to improve the administrative control of the government and ensure the people can have easy accessibility to the public delivery system.
