Shillong, Sept 3: The administration has imposed a no-drone restriction in parts of Shillong ahead of Vice President C P Radhakrishnan’s two-day visit to the city.
According to an order issued by East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Abhilash Baranwal on Thursday, drone operations will not be allowed within a 3-km radius of the State Central Library and Lok Bhavan from September 7 to 8.
The order said several VIPs and dignitaries would be attending the event and that the restriction had been imposed as a security measure.
