SP Fire Service and family hurt in Garo Hills road accident

Tura, Dec 22: The Fire and Emergency Services Superintendent of Police, Western Range (Garo Hills) Bruno A Sangma along with his wife and two children have suffered injuries after their vehicle lost control and skidded off the main highway NH 217, between Tura and Rari, at Snalgre village in North Garo Hills district on Sunday afternoon, approximately 3 PM.

The fire service chief was behind the wheel of his Scorpio and his wife was in the front passenger seat, while the two children were seated in the back passenger seat when the accident occured. They were heading to Kharkutta to celebrate Christmas at their family home.

They were rescued from the overturned vehicle and taken to Bajengdoba health centre for medical aid before being shifted to Guwahati Apollo Hospital for further treatment. All four of them are reportedly out of danger, informed medics.
