Speaker reviews progress of new House building

Shillong, Mar 24: A comprehensive review of the new assembly building at Mawdiangdiang was held to discuss the project’s progress and address bottlenecks, if any, at the construction site on Monday.

The review meeting was chaired by Speaker Thomas A Sangma, who also conducted a detailed inspection of the site.

Representatives from key line departments, designers and other stakeholders provided inputs and updates on the project at the meeting, which was also attended by deputy speaker Timothy D Shira, deputy chief minister and minister in-charge Parliamentary Affairs Prestone Tynsong among others.

The speaker expressed satisfaction over progress of the work and underlined need for collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of the project.
