State okays Meghalaya Ayush Medical Service Rules

Shillong, May 2: The state Cabinet on Thursday approved the Meghalaya Ayush Medical Service Rules, 2025.

Addressing media persons, cabinet minister and government spokesperson Paul Lyngdoh said the traditional system of medicines like Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Yoga, Naturopathy have all gained attraction and are also being adopted by people as an alternative to current medical practices. 

Accordingly, the government has decided to have service rules in place and it will be called Meghalaya Ayush Medical Service Rules, 2025, he added.
