State to send students to the UK

Shillong, Sep 6: Around 10-15 students from the state will be given the opportunity to go to the United Kingdom as part of the CM Global Fellowship Program, said Education minister Rakkam A Sangma on Thursday.

This was informed by the minister during the Teachers’ Day celebration at State Central Library Shillong.

“As part of the Student Exchange Program through the CM Global Fellowship, the department of Education will send 10-15 students along with teachers to London to learn about the quality of education in the UK,” said Sangma.

Sangma said that the objective of this initiative is to allow students to acquire the knowledge of other countries and to improve their education from what they experience and see.
