
Shillong, May 4: Five Bangladeshi nationals, including tailors working in Ahmedabad, were arrested by vigilant BSF troops while attempting to cross the international border along Meghalaya sector.
Two persons from Sunamganj district of Bangladesh were apprehended by troops of BSF 193rd Battalion near the international border in East Khasi Hills district on Saturday.
The duo revealed that they had crossed the border in search of job opportunities in India.

They were handed over to Dangar police station for further legal action.
In another operation on the same day, troops of BSF 50th Battalion detected suspicious movement along the border and apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals, who hailed from Pabna, Sherpur and Kishoreganj district.
They said they had been working as tailors in a garment factory in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
They were handed over to Mahendraganj police station in West Garo Hills for further action.
