Two B’deshis held near Dawki

Shillong, Mar 2: West Jaintia Hills police intercepted two Bangladesh nationals and a local driver during a patrol on Sunday night, SP Jagpal Singh Dhanao said.

Around 8.30 pm, Dawki PS personnel stopped a Maruti S‑Presso (ML‑05AG‑7472) and detained Monirul Biswas and Lovely Khatun of Bhombag village, Narail, Khulna division, along with driver Pynshaibha Khaii of Wahsarang, East Jaintia Hills.

Dhanao said a case was registered under the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025. The accused were arrested and will be produced before the JMFC at Amlarem.
