Two seriously injured in Jowai accident

Shillong, Aug 21: Two people were injured when a clinker-laden truck overturned and came crashing down on a Maruti EECO, crushing the vehicle at Lad Mukhla, near Thadlaskein Lake in Jowai on Thursday morning.

According to reports, a man inside the maruti sustained serious injuries and was immediately rescued and rushed to Jowai Civil Hospital, Ïalong.

A woman pedestrian was also injured in the incident and taken for medical treatment.

The collision led to a massive traffic jam in the area, causing significant inconvenience to commuters.
