Unitarian Church celebrates 138th years in Jowai

Shillong, Sept 19: The Unitarian Church on Thursday celebrated its 138th Anniversary in Jowai with the floral tribute to the Church’s Founder, HK Singh with the theme “Ka Anniversary-Ka jingkyrsiew Mynsiem”.

On Thursday, a special service was held followed by a procession in the evening from the church premise at Tympang Iawmusiang through various localities of Jowai Town. 

The church flag was also unfurled by the moderator, GM Lamar. 

During the procession both old and young carried torches as they proceeded back to the Church as they sang hymns along the way.
