Shillong, Jan 4: Teihun Makri, an NSS volunteer of University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM), has made it to the final round of Vikshit Bharat National Championship to be held in New Delhi on January 11-12.
Representing Meghalaya, she will present her vision and ideas for “Vikshit Bharat” before the Prime Minister, the USTM said in a press release.
A post-graduation student in Botany, she has delivered on “Enhancing Productivity through Agriculture” at the competition.
Student volunteers of USTM’s NSS Cell actively participated in the Government of India initiative.
Vikshit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2025, a reimagined version of the National Youth Festival of India, is an innovative youth engagement initiative inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision to involve 1 lakh young leaders in civic life and leadership roles.
The program features a four-stage selection process: Online Quiz (November 25 – December 5, 2024): Focusing on India’s achievements; Essay Competition (December 8-15, 2024): Participants submitted 1000-word essays on themes such as technology, startups, and women empowerment; State-Level PPT Presentations (December 20-26, 2024): A platform to showcase innovative ideas; National-Level Presentations (January 11-12, 2025): Finalists will present their vision directly to the Prime Minister, stated the release.
