Women’s public hearing on March 11

Shillong, March 5: A Mahila Jan Sunwai (Public Hearing for Women) will be held on March 11 as part of the National Commission for Women’s countrywide programme marking International Women’s Day.

The Meghalaya State Commission for Women chairperson will preside over the hearing scheduled at Shillong’s Polo Ground parking lot at 11.30 am.

Hearings are scheduled nationwide from March 9–13, with walk‑in complaints accepted.

The exercise aims to expand access to grievance redress for women across the state.
