26 Bangladeshi nationals held

Shillong, July 15: Border security force stationed near the West Garo Hills border nabbed twenty-six Bangladeshi nationals and four Indian touts on Tuesday.

The troops intercepted three vehicles on Hill Road, Matchokpara based on specific intelligence inputs, and subsequent verification revealed the presence of Bangladeshi nationals being facilitated by Indian touts.

The successful operation highlights the critical role of BSF in combating trans-border crimes and thwarting illegal infiltration attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh border, the BSF statement said.
