Govt appoints new state organic mission chief

Shillong, Dec 3: Retired Meghalaya Agriculture Service (MAC) officer M Lyngdoh Suiam has been appointed as the chief administrative officer of the Meghalaya Natural & Organic Farming Society for Livelihood and Innovation in Agriculture (MNOFSLIA). 

Announcing the decision of the state cabinet on Monday, Paul Lyngdoh said, “This matter was put up to the cabinet and we approved the proposal for the appointment of the said officer Macbul Lyngdoh Suiam, retired MAC officer for the post of CAO of MNOFSLIA for a period of 3 years.”

Lyngdoh also informed that the cabinet has approved the appointment of Registrar cum Secretary of the Meghalaya State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission (MSCDRC).

“A couple of names came up for consideration before the cabinet and as per the recommendation of the department concerned, which is the Food and Civil Supplies & Consumers department, the cabinet has agreed to the proposal to appoint Susana D Ritshong, MSS retired as recommended from the shortlisted candidate,” he said.
